MASS FATALITY SERVICES

TPM Services provides turnkey 24/7 mass fatality services.  TPM is uniquely qualified to perform these services, having Dr. Jeffrey Rouse, former Orleans Parish Coroner, leading the team.  Dr. Rouse advises and directs the team on procedures and best practices regarding decedent acceptance, storage, and release. He coordinates with state contracted medical staff for both case specific information, if needed, as well as for infection prevention and decontamination protocol. Dr. Rouse assists teams with monitoring ongoing operations and with quality control to ensure seamless operation of the temporary storage site(s).

TPM can provide all personnel, equipment and supplies to retrieve, store, and release decedents based on requirements set forth by the client.

TPM’s priorities for mass fatality operations include:

• Making sure all remains are cared for and transported with the utmost respect and dignity.

• Providing reassurance and support to all next of kin that their loved ones are being handled respectfully and professionally. 

• Ensure that TPM personnel have the proper PPE and safety support mechanisms to prevent any injury and/or exposure.

• To keep meticulous records of all interactions with healthcare personnel, next of kin, and funeral home contacts.

• To maintain a detailed and computerized inventory system of body placement to ensure that the exact location of all remains is always known.

• To inspect and maintain all on-site equipment on a designated schedule to eliminate breakdowns and/or delays.

• To decontaminate all personnel and equipment per CDC and OSHA guidelines.
